During lockdown, I was stopped at a checkpoint while going to buy food. I showed my ID and explained, but one officer said I was being “stubborn.” They seized my bike, demanded ₦15k to release it. I told them I had only ₦3k — they mocked me, saying I could “trek like everyone else.” It took a week and a bribe before I got my bike back. No receipt, no paperwork. Just corruption in uniform. Nigeria is hard enough without this.
How do we continue to suffer this way, the police agency need total cleansing , THE ALWAYS BRING SORROWS TO PEOPLE LIFES INSTEAD OF PROTECTING LIFES
