Landlords in Nigeria is a nightmare. I paid for a one-year rent on a hot deal’ apartment in November last year. In may, the landlord was accused by agency of owing money on the building and was taken to court. Since then, I have been receiving eviction notices. I tried calling the landlord, visiting his office, and sending messages. But no response; his phone number no longer goes through and office seems locked up. I think the landlord absconded with everyone’s rent.Such a scam!
